Marketing Manager

Contactual, a global provider of hosted on-demand contact center solutions seeks a proven and dynamic marketing manager to design, execute and optimize innovative marketing and demand generation programs.

Delivered 100% as a Software as a Service (SaaS) application, the Contactual OnDemand Contact Center eliminates the need for the specialized hardware/software, telecom equipment and up-front capital expenditures associated with legacy, on-premise solutions.  Our application was built from the ground-up to be a true on-demand application. The result is an easy-to-use and powerful platform for improving customer interactions and call center efficiency.

Position Summary:

The marketing manager is responsible for developing and executing effective demand generation programs. Demand generation activities include, but are not limited to paid search (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), content syndication programs, educational webinars, tradeshows, and appropriate use of social media. This position ensures Contactual’s compelling and competitive position within the contact center technology marketplace, supports the company’s mission, and contributes to our long-term profitability.  The marketing manager reports to the senior director of marketing and works closely with the direct sales and partner sales teams, as well as external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all demand generation and online marketing initiatives from conception through execution.
  • Analyze campaign data and metrics. Leverage these analytical insights to develop recommendations to increase campaign effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Manage paid search (SEM) campaign strategy and exectution as well as organic search optimization (SEO) efforts. Continually leverage tools and industry best practices to ensure peak performance of campaigns.
  • Manage the Contactual website and the company's blog. Make recommendations and execute plans to boost website traffic. Build strategies for online promotion, social media and cross-channel marketing to drive visitor traffic.
  • Optimize online marketing activities through the use of landing pages, A/B testing, and other tactics to meet aggressive lead generation goals and lead qualification conversion rates.
  • Compile weekly and monthly analysis of all demand generation programs. Monitor campaign results, analyze conversion rates and identify non-converting spend.
  • Support and contribute to additional marketing activities that may include: content development, product positioning, marketing communications, new product launches, selling tools development, and CRM database management. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years experience in progressive marketing, demand generation, business analysis or consulting roles is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience developing and executing successful B2B marketing and lead generation programs is required.
  • Must possess a track record of success in online marketing including strategy development, execution, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and database skills are required; candidates must excel at modeling and number crunching.
  • Must be proficient with SEM/SEO reporting tools as well as web analytics tools.
  • Must possess a strong ability to think independently and creatively to translate business requirements into successful marketing campaigns.
  • Must be a technically savvy worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges.
  • Must possess effective and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills are required. Must possess the ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing demands for limited resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment. Willingness to work hands-on  in a start-up environment and wear multiple marketing 'hats' is essential.
  • Experience marketing SaaS-based enterprise software applications is desired.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools Marketo and HubSpot is desired. Experience with NetSuite CRM, Drupal CMS and Adobe Master Suite is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, finance, computer science or a related field is required. An MBA is highly desirable.
